Teen member of gang that stole cars and tobacco jailed

A DERBY teenager has been jailed for more than three years after pleading guilty to being part of a gang that stole cars and tobacco.

Christopher Hall, 19, of Ennis Close, Chaddesden, admitted eight burglary and theft offences, and asked for a further two offences to be taken into consideration by the judge.

He was sentenced to three years, nine months behind bars.

He and three other men, from Nottinghamshire, were jailed for offences that were committed in June and July.

They were initially identified by private CCTV at the house which they broke into in Nottinghamshire.

They were then linked to the other crimes by their methods and use of the same stolen vehicles.

Their crime spree came to an end in Leicestershire on July 7 when they were arrested shortly after their latest shop burglary. They had been pictured on CCTV.
