RECENTLY I visited my local Tesco supermarket in Long Eaton. I purchased a jar of jalfrezi sweet and sour sauce, which was on offer at £1. I carried on doing more shopping before I went to the checkout to pay for my goods. As my goods went through the scanner, I noticed the sauce go through at £1.69. I mentioned it was on offer at £1 and a young lady went to check it out. She came back to say it cost £1.69 for one, or £2 for two.

Can someone from Tesco please explain to me how they can do this at a time when people on low incomes cannot afford these prices? (I am a pensioner myself).

Come on Tesco, get your act together or you will lose customers.

“Unfortunately, Tesco are one of the worst stores for gerrymandering their own prices. Larger weight items like Coffee cost more than two smaller ones, offers constantly bouncing around the store like Tigger on Speed, confusing customers left, right and centre. Mispriced items all over the place and staff who couldn't give a Rat's a$$ about it. Items not on sale because the staff don't "have the keys" or "it's store policy we don't sell that item after 9pm" depending on who is providing this weeks' excuse.

That's just a little store at Mickleover, god only knows wht the big stores are like!”

“When wanting sympathy, never forget to play the pensioner card.

JL Cooke's choices were obvious. Either put the item back or fetch another and save it for the next time.”
