A PRIDE Park cleaning company has landed the contract to keep the new Derby Theatre looking spotless.

Commercial cleaning firm Office Care has been awarded the contract for the theatre, which opened its doors in October following the closure of the Derby Playhouse last year.

The firm already carries out cleaning at Pride Park Stadium and Derby County's Moor Farm training academy, Derbyshire County Cricket Club, Orchid IT and Lexus Derby.

Six new jobs have been created and there are plans to expand the company's 200-strong workforce in the New Year.

Martin Booth, business development director at Office Care, said: "It is testament to the experience of our hard-working team that we were selected to work in a major public building that will be open for long periods and visited regularly by people both from Derby and further afield."
