THEO Robinson is hoping his goals can lift struggling Huddersfield Town up the Championship table.

The 24-year-old striker has joined the Terriers on loan from Derby County until the end of the season.

Huddersfield, hammered 6-1 by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, are one place and two points above the relegation places.

"I am ready for the challenge," said Robinson, who scored 16 goals in 45 games for Huddersfield between July 2009 and January 2011.

"It is brilliant to be back. I have been playing from the bench for a large part of the season. When I heard that Huddersfield were interested, I jumped at the opportunity.

"I want to play games and get some goals.

"The signing of Conor Sammon has limited my chances. He is a good guy and a good player, playing at the point of a 4-5-1 formation with Jamie Ward playing off him. I would have loved to have played alongside him more regularly but I never got the chance."

Robinson has scored nine goals in 29 appearances (14 starts) for Derby this season but his last start was away to Charlton Athletic on December 29.

His loan includes a recall clause after the first month.
