Thieves steal ride-on lawn mower before setting it on fire
Police are appealing for information after a ride-on lawn mower was stolen and set alight.
It is thought the red coloured ‘Roper’ machine was taken sometime between Friday, March 11 and Friday, March 18, from a shed at a farm in Gamesley in the High Peak.
The offenders had cut through a fence on Melandra Castle Road and the mower was found in a field near Melandra Recycling Centre. It had been set alight.
Anyone who may have seen the mower being driven in the area, or with any information about the incident should contact Derbyshire police on 0345 123 33 33.

“I'll try again!
What absolute countryside buffoonery.
To take a ride-on mower and then torch it! That is crass anti-socialism at its worst. If these nossocks are on line perhaps they can justify their motives.”

“What an utterly pointless piece of country bumpkinism!
What on earth did the idiots hope to achieve?
Some now has to replace an expensive piece of machinery because of some mindless pratts!
If they are on-line perhaps they explain their motives.”

“What an utterly pointless and thick piece of countrified bumpkinism?
What on earth are the types who feel they could prove something doing something as mindless and anti social as this?
Perhap you out there could answer that question.
Oh, but then I forgot, they are too thick to write !”
