Think of animals to have a cruelty-free Christmas
CHRISTMAS is meant to be a season of peace and goodwill, yet for many animals it is a time of extreme suffering and exploitation.
Millions of turkeys are slaughtered for Christmas dinner, along with ducks, geese, pigs, lambs and chickens. Puppies and kittens are given away as presents, then often neglected or discarded by new owners when the novelty has worn off.
Cosmetics and toiletries given as gifts were probably cruelly tested on animals.
But it doesn't have to be that way! Send for Animal Aid's Guide to a Compassionate Christmas, which includes tips for cruelty-free festive fun. Order a free guide at www.anim alaid.org.uk or call 01732 364546.

“Those turkeys, pigs, cows, geese ect who would of never been born anyway. Most toiletries these days if not all are no longer tested on animals.
I do agree about pets as christmas presents though. unless it has benn a family decision taken over a long period of time put pets should never be given as supprise gifts.”

“Just pay RSPCA to remove them (animals) from Alvaston. That should ensure their suffering is diminished. The pets suffering that is!”
