A PIONEERING project to get girls more active is set to visit Derby schools and other community venues using a specially-adapted bus.

The Movement – a partnership between Derby County in the Community and Derby City Council's b-active initiative – began its summer tour yesterday at Derby Moor Community Sports College.

Ten female Movement members from Derby Moor joined Councillor Joe Naitta and Movement staff to celebrate the first tour destination for 2010.

Kitted out with PCs, a plasma screen, a relaxation area and information on how to be active, the Movement tour bus will visit schools, community centres, supermarkets and other venues.

Beauty experts will offer makeovers and cosmetic tips.
