Traffic plans go on display
PEOPLE in Ashbourne can have their say on improving traffic flow in the town.
Derbyshire County Council has commissioned a study to highlight problem areas in the town and recommend improvements after residents complained of congestion.
The results will be available to view at Ashbourne Leisure Centre on Wednesday from 1.30pm.
Suggested changes include improvements to car parking and changes to the one-way system.
Councillor Chris Jackson, the council's cabinet member for highways and transport, said no cash was currently available for Ashbourne to get a by-pass so improvements would need to be made to existing roads.
He said: "Now we have ideas for improvement on the table, we want to know what people think."
