Traffic update: Very slow into Derby on the A6
There is very heavy traffic on the A6 southbound as you head into Derby due to the ongoing roadworks on St Alkmund's Way.
The work is also affecting the inner ring road eastbound due to the lane closure and temporary traffic lights.
THE A52 westbound heading into Derby is becoming heavy as traffic starts to build back to the Spondon turn-off.
The A38 is also becoming busy southbound at the Little Eaton island and then at Markeaton Island as well as slow traffic northbound at the A61 Alfreton Road.
TRAFFIC is beginning to build on the southbound A38 towards the Little Eaton island.
The M1 southbound is also heavy between junction 26 to 24a southbound with heavy spray caused by the morning's rain.
Traffic is also building on the inner ring road around the roadworks.
THERE are no major problems on roads into Derby and around the county.
The roadworks taking place on St Alkmund's Way are still ongoing which is affecting the A6 at King Street as well as the inner ring.
There are roadworks outside the city on the A514 close to the Swarkestone Bridge which a set of temporary traffic lights which will add time to your journey.
The M1 southbound is moving slowly with spray creating slightly slower driving conditions.
Public transport is working well with no delays to the trains and buses in the area.
