THE A52 has debris across the carriageway after an accident earlier this morning.

A blue Volkswagen Polo crashed just before the Spondon turn off heading towards Nottingham.

There were no injuries to the driver but debris from the crash was spread across the road.

While drivers can get past the vehicle police are warning drivers to do so with care.

There are no other major problems on the roads this morning but traffic is slow on the routes into the city.

The A52 into Pentagon Island is slow moving as is the Sir Frank Whittle Way heading onto the Pentagon as well.

The Uttoxeter new Road is also slow moving into the city and there are queues on the southbound carriageway of the A38 towards Markeaton Island.

There is also a broken down bus on the A608 opposite Morley Hayes golf club. The fire service were originally called to a fire on the vehicle but were not required as the smoke was coming from the brakes. Traffic can move  passed with care.

There is also patchy fog and murky weather so caution is advised.

“Yes we did notice and wondered where that was although looking at the menu prices they could just be right. I always thought also that we needed to get PAST an obstruction rather than PASSED a comment on the situation. Would Mr Neil White, who I understand is the editor, like to comment on the improper use of the English Language and vocabulary by the reporters?”
