Trip sharpens up catering talents
SOUTH East Derbyshire College students honed their catering skills at a residential trip to Faversham House in Chesterfield.
The group of seven young adults, who all have learning difficulties, regularly learn catering and hospitality skills at the college's Top Spot Café and they were able to further these during the stay.
The visit was partly funded by the Benevolent Fund of Saint-Gobain Pipelines, based in Ilkeston.
Tutor Helen Lewis said: “I called Saint-Gobain Pipelines because my dad worked there for over 40 years. We were delighted they donated £800 towards the cost of the residential trip.”
