TRIPLE Bill, at Deda tonight, features a world of explosive dance made in Derby, Nottingham and the Netherlands.

The programme of dance theatre, at the Chapel Street venue tonight at 8pm, features the first fruits of Deda's Artist Scheme.

Choreographers Claire Cunningham and Jose Agudo held the position of associate artist (choreographer) in 2008-2009 and created 4m2 while based at Deda. The soundtrack for the piece was created by another Artist Scheme participant, renowned electronic composer Scanner (aka Robin Rimbaud). Scanner held the position of Associate Artist (composer) and his work was last heard in Derby when it provided the musical accompaniment for the opening of QUAD as part of Derby Feste in September 2008.

Set against a stunning backdrop by visual artist Sian Stammers and Scanner's original score, 4m2 explores the periphery of memory inspired by real stories. These are memories of isolation as a means to freedom.

Also appearing as part of Triple Bill on 26 March is Caught Up (pictured), the new work from award-winning choreographer Katie Green. Keeping a strong East Midlands connection, Caught Up was originally created at Dance4, the National Dance Agency based in Nottingham.

Triple Bill is completed by PORK, a short film adaptation of the stage production Pork-in-Loop by T.r.a.s.h.

Dutch dance theatre company T.r.a.s.h. is renowned for performances that feature elegance and subtle movement coupled with explosive dance and physical theatre.

PORK offers a disturbing keyhole view on ambiguous, explosive characters, struck by a loss of memory, meaning and the ability to react.

Tickets for tonight's Triple Bill are £10 (£8 concessions) on 01332 370911.
