AFTER sell-out Edinburgh and West End seasons, Showstoppers bring their sharp, ready wit and innovative, spontaneous and fully interactive show to Derby on February 9.

It is very hard to describe what to expect from Showstoppers because their performance is entirely improvised, with a brand new musical being created at every venue.

The underlying premise for the show is that a writer has just one night to create a hit show to impress his producer.

Stuck for ideas, he takes audience suggestions for a title, storylines and musical styles that they would like to see in the show.

The Showstoppers then create a totally new musical from scratch every night based around that structure.

Unpredictable, side-splittingly funny and featuring dazzling dance routines and catchy melodies, Showstoppers is certainly an evening to remember.

Cast includes Ruth Bratt (Mongrels; Ricky Gervais' Derek), Fosters Comedy Award nominee Pippa Evans (Fast and Loose), David Reed (one third of the Fosters Comedy Award-winning Penny Dreadfuls) and Oliver Senton (Mama Mia, West End).

Tickets are priced £15 (concessions £13). For details, call Derby Theatre box office on Derby 593939 or visit www.derbytheatre.co.uk.

“We saw Showstoppers in Maidenhead just after Christmas. They are absolutely brilliant - cancel everything and go!”
