I CANNOT remember covering a game in which so many goals left people searching for the true identity of the scorer as Saturday's showdown at the City Ground, writes Steve Nicholson.

There is still debate over who actually scored three of the five goals in Derby's 3-2 defeat by Forest.

Forest's opener belonged very much to Pole Radoslaw Majewski but their second goal has been awarded to three different players, depending on which report you read.

Many felt it was a Rob Hulse own goal, others thought Miles Addison got the final touch while the sight of Dexter Blackstock running away in celebration suggested the Forest striker thought it was his goal.

Television replays I've seen are inconclusive.

Was Derby's first goal Miles Addison's or an own goal by Wes Morgan?

Should the Rams' second go down as Jake Livermore's first for the club or a Paul McKenna own goal?

I'd prefer to give it to the attacking player and I'm sure Morgan and McKenna would not argue with that.

“Forest scored all the goals. If it wasn;t for lucky deflections your sorry shower wouldn;t have registered. We'll probably get 5 or 6 at the Rounders Ground.”
