UPDATED: Two-year-old Belper boy who died is named
A two-year-old Belper boy who died in suspicious circumstances has been named as Riley Pettipierre.
Officers were called to a house in Kilbourne Road, Belper, at 10.46am yesterday following reports that the toddler had become ill.

He was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
His death is being treated as suspicious.

A man, aged 41, and a woman, 32, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
The cause of the boy’s death is not yet known. A post mortem examination was carried out last night but the results of toxicology tests are awaited.
