YOU can relive Marc Bolan and T-Rex's career highlights at Derby Assembly Rooms tonight when T Rextasy's Electric Boogie Tour recreates the legendary rock band's sound and glamour.

Voted number one in the BBC's Battle of the Fantasy Bands, T-Rextasy belt out classics such as Get It On, Children Of The Revolution, Metal Guru, 20th Century Boy and Telegram Sam and they are the only tribute band to be authorised by the controllers of Marc Bolan's music catalogue.

Lead singer Danielz bears an uncanny resemblance to glam rock pioneer Bolan. So much so that Bolan's wife June said: "When I saw Danielz on stage, a shiver went up my spine. If there is anyone who can step into Marc's shoes, I'd like it to be him."

Former T-Rex guitarist Jack Green agrees, saying: "It's just like seeing Marc again."

T-Rextasy took the leading role in the 30th anniversary of Bolan's 1977 death, performing at the Marc Bolan Celebration in London and also headlining the first half of the Last Night Prom in Hyde Park to an audience of 40,000 people.

They have been together for 15 years, touring nationally and internationally. They have played some of the world's top venues including Wembley Arena and the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo.
