Q: How many students attend the college?

A: There are more than 4,500 full-time and in excess of 15,700 part-time students.

A: On several sites including: the Joseph Wright Centre, Cathedral Road, base for academic studies; the Roundhouse, Pride Park, main city campus opens September 2009; Prince Charles Avenue campus, Mackworth, sports facilities; Masons Place, Chaddesden, dedicated industry-standard training facility, and Broomfield Hall, Morley, specialist land-based studies within the setting of a working farm estate

Q: What qualifications does the college offer?

A: The college offers GCSEs, A-levels, vocational courses, adult education, apprenticeships, higher national certificates and diplomas, access courses and degrees.

Q: Does the college have links with local industry?

A: There are relationships with both local and national employers.

Q: What resources does the college offer its students?

A: Students can use advice services such as counselling, careers advice, additional learning support and financial services.

Q: What about sports facilities?

A: The college runs a number of sports academies and has sports resources at the Mackworth campus.

Q: Does the college have any overseas connections?

A: The International Office team recruits individual students, organises tailor-made projects or arranges consultancy work. Links have been developed in France, Germany, India, Bosnia, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Tunisia, Libya, South Africa, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, China, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Q: What courses are available at the college?

A: They include: AS and A-levels in applied science; biology, chemistry, dance, drama and theatre studies, English literature, English language, film studies, fine art, French, geography, graphics, history, law, maths, media studies, music technology, photography, PE, physics, psychology, sociology and textiles.

Advanced Apprenticeships at level three in: mechanical manufacturing or fabrication and welding engineering, hairdressing, hospitality supervision, sporting excellence, trowel occupations, mechanical engineering services (plumbing), painting and decorating and professional cookery.

Apprenticeships at level two: business and administration, customer service, drink service, electrical installation, food and drink service, food processing and cooking, front office, hairdressing, engineering, wood occupations, mechanical engineering services (plumbing), multi-skilled hospitality service, painting and decorating, professional cookery and retail.

BTEC first diplomas: acting/dance, horticulture, animal care, art and design, business, health and social care, horse care, IT, media/multimedia, retail and music. There are also BTEC national certificates and diplomas and NVQ certificates and a wide range of vocational subjects.

Q: Are there any open days?

A: There is a GCSE results advice evening on Thursday, August 27, from 6pm-8pm at the Roundhouse, Pride Park.

    “Well. i have searched the internet for a homepage on prince charles collage and it hasnt even got its own website this is disapointing because i want to find out infomation about this collage and its open days!”
