Bill pitches in: Young diabetes patients have received a welcome boost thanks to a £4,000 grant for equipment. Bill Matthews, captain of Breadsall Priory Golf Club in 2008-2009, donated the money to Derby Diabetes Children's Fun Club for a new laptop and blood sugar monitor. The fun club, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall, in Uttoxeter Road, Mickleover, was set up as a support group for parents with children under 11 who had been diagnosed with diabetes.
