Union claims job cuts at Derby offices of IT giant
A UNION today claimed that up to 100 jobs are to be cut at three Derby offices of an IT company.
Unite said the positions would go at offices of IT giant Hewlett Packard/European Data Systems, which has announced 3,400 jobs in the UK over the next two years.

It said the jobs would go at the offices at Raynesway; Moor Lane, Allenton; and Hudson House, Pride Park.
It is expecting the cuts to be made in the next fortnight.
EDS has dealt with much of Rolls-Royce's day-to-day IT since the mid-90s.
It is also a former sponsor of Derby County.
EDS was acquired by Hewlett Packard last year.
Peter Skyte, Unite's national officer responsible for the IT sector, said "up to 100 jobs" would be cut.
He said: "We are not ruling out industrial action.
"This is not a company that is in difficulties. It's a company which is making record profits.
"These cuts are to secure more money for executives and shareholders."
HP/EDS today said it was not possible to say how many Derby workers would lose their jobs.
A company spokesman said: "HP expects the workforce management exercise in Europe, the Middle-East and Asia, to affect up to 9,300 employees, with roughly half of these positions replaced to create a global workforce that has the right blend of services and delivery capabilities to address the diversity of its markets and customers."
