“Impossible to do this without causing some damage. Slates, flashing and ridge tiles are not made for this abuse. Keep off!”

“Of course these boys have nothing on the masters of such antics from the 1920s and 1930s. Take a look at this guy, 65 storeys up a skyscraper:

“@chimpyobrien the link I provided was intended to help you as it offers sound advice about decent insurance policies for your "sport", and as we can see it costs little to insure yourself for £ millions to cover for public liability, that means insurance for causing injury or death to a member of the public. However you choose not to insure yourself! Yu don'like seeing things like this because the truth hurts.

Would you not insure yourself for driving a car? That would be a criminal offence if you did not. So you are not insured for this dangerous activity! Just proves how irresponsible and thoughtless you are! You obviously couldn't give a hoot about others, clearly not bothered about causing criminal damage to people's property or endangering others' lives!

If you are going to partake in this activity, do it in a responsible way, do not put others at risk, insure yourselves and do it in a way that spectators can pay to watch you. Grow up and be responsible for your actions! In your iwn words, obtain yourself a life, but don't put others at risk!”

“People live in such a false reality a lot of you actually have no idea how life works but its not your fault, I had to leave derby and travel the world to discover the things I now know about the mysterious workings of the universe.

There is only one truth, that is love, everything that is not done for love is done through fear. So many of you clearly live insecure lives, I have not affected any of you with my actions only affected your imaginations to create negative potential outcomes that haven't happened, this comes from your own places of a negative outlook on life, some others who I can only imagine must see the world as a more positive place seem to appreciate the beauty in my actions and trust they are not as reckless as they may first appear.

Base life off your own experiences not off others, merely be passing observers of how others live and try to be nonjudgemental.

Everything I did was with a pure heart and "god" protects me and all around when I live in such a way. I'm going to go live my life now, dont get to caught up in the news its not healthy for your soul to mostly read about negative goings on in the world its already affected most of you

    Love,
    Tim x”

“@ Chimpyobrien I take it that as someone who regards himself as a professional, you are fully insured with public liability insurance, in case you dislodge a slate and kill someone, insurance against property damage, your own accidental death etc.
I doubt very much that the lads in this video were insured!

    Insurance is available:

"Taking part in the sport of free running is exciting and exhilarating, but there is a high chance of picking up an injury while clearing objects and landing. With an insure4sport free running player insurance policy you can relax in the knowledge that if you do hurt yourself, or someone else, you'll be fully protected. Our free running insurance policies can be designed to suit your needs, and if necessary can include international cover and financial protection against loss of earnings. Have fun, stay safe and enjoy complete protection with a free running policy from insure4sport.

    Sports Liability [i]
Public Liability up to £1 Million £2 Million £5 Million £10 Million
Professional Indemnity up to £1 Million £1 Million £1 Million £1 Million

    Premium £37.99 £42.99 £47.99 £56.99

I take it also that you inform the police and local authorities before you perform, so that measures can be taken to ensure no member of the public is put at risk (from falling masonry, roof tiles etc)?”

    “Gaz1234
You obviously didn't watch the 2009 Barclaycard World Freerun Championship when it was on television then, there is nothing spontaneous or unplanned about Freerunning when you get to this sort of level
Its very finely choreographed and planned, very much along the lines of stunts in films (which I understand Tim also does professionally)
I'm not condoning what these people have done in this instance, but haviong done a bit of research and seen the sport previously I can appreciate both sides of the discussion”
