VIDEO: Mickleover's first-ever Christmas lights switch-on is a big success
CROWDS gathered for the first-ever Mickleover Christmas lights switch-on last night.
Stars from Derby Live's pantomime Peter Pan entertained the crowds, and dame Able Mabel and Mike "Squeaky Clean" McClean sang songs and counted down.
After the switch-on, by local playwright Don Shaw, the Royal Derby Hospital's brass band serenaded the crowds with classic Christmas tunes.
Two-year-old Lewis Austen and his dad Richard came to see the lights.
