DERBYSHIRE theatre company the Babbling Vagabonds bring the story of the Brothers Grimm alive with shadow play, storytelling, puppetry and pop-ups on stage.

The story follows two brothers on a quest to collect stories.

The brothers are caught in a raging storm and take shelter in an old barn and try frantically to save the words they have collected before the rain washes them away forever.

As they empty their suitcases in a desperate attempt to save their precious manuscripts, stories come spilling out and some of the best known fairy tales we know come to life.

This is an enchanting tale looking into the world of fairy tales. Audiences will be swept away into a realm of epic quests, deep dark forests and, perhaps, a big bad wolf.

Shadow play, storytelling, puppetry and pop-ups are all used to bring this wild and stormy tale to life.

The show is suitable for children aged four and upwards, their families and anyone who loves a good story.

Joint artistic director Phil Coggins said: "We are delighted to be visiting Derby's Guildhall Theatre. We have had so much fun looking at the Grimm fairy tales. They really are a brilliant collection of stories and we have chosen our favourite to share with our audiences."
