FROM rising water near village homes to landscapes transformed by the deluge – our photographers and readers have been capturing and sharing their experiences of how four days of heavy rain flooding has affected them.

Heavy rain left Sawley Marina closed and Janet Murphy, duty manager at the Trent Lock pub, in Lock Lane, said: "All the fields running alongside Lock Lane were flooded – they just looked like massive pools of water.
"If there's no more rain, that'll give it time to subside and drain off."

Reader Bob Morris sent in images to the Derby Telegraph of the roads between Willington and Repton, including a shot of flooded fields near the former Willington power station.
And Derby Telegraph staff members Suzanne Nelson and Ian Hodgkinson both snapped pictures of high water levels in Long Eaton and Swarkestone – with reports from drivers of how the area around Swarkestone Bridge was heavily flooded throughout yesterday.
