"The boys did themselves and the club proud," said Academy manager Wassall. "They couldn't have given any more.
"There was a spell in the second half, after we equalised, when I thought Chelsea were rocking.

"That was our chance to go and win the game but, unfortunately, we couldn't.
"However, you've got to give credit to Chelsea."
The Rams, who hit the woodwork three times, were given a warm ovation from the fans at the final whistle.
"The crowd were fantastic and I thought we gave a good account of ourselves," Wassall added. "We showed a lot of energy, character and no little skill. We proved we can compete against the very best at this level."

“I think that Darren his Staff and all the players did the club proud, not forgetting the Rams supporters who turned up on the night.
It will be nice to see a couple of them feature around the first team before the end of the season.”
