Wendy 'chuffed' after securing another award
A DERBY entrepreneur has beaten off rivals from across the region to secure honours at the Enterprising Women Excellence Awards.
Wendy Mackney, of Darley Abbey Mills-based Mackney Photography, took the Breakthrough Business of the Year award at the event organised by the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.

The awards were open to female entrepreneurs from across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Mrs Mackney said: "I'm extremely chuffed to win the award because we were up against some stiff competition. The business has gone from strength to strength. We are expanding and taking on another assistant photographer, so it's all very busy."

Since winning the Derby Telegraph's Local Business Accelerator competition last year, the firm has won national photographic awards and Mrs Mackney was shortlisted for the entrepreneur of the year title at Derbyshire's Best business awards.
Jean Mountain, chairman of the Chamber's Enterprising Women Group, said: "Many congratulations to all of the winners. Their success stories will hopefully inspire many other women to pursue their business dreams."
