I NOTE that MP Chris Williamson's solution to the terrible tragedy in Cumbria is to ban any member of the public from possessing a firearm.

I would be interested in what his opinion would be on what a similar Labour ban on handguns achieved?

More people have been shot at, wounded or killed with illegal handguns since that particular ban than before it.

I wonder what Mr Williamson would recommend to rectify two of Britain's biggest serial killer cases – the renegade GP and the Muslim suicide bombers?

I also note that one of his supporters wrote in the Telegraph that Mr Williamson's anti-blood sports protester background means he is a caring person.

I would suggest that some simple research on the internet would reveal how many of those anti-blood sports protesters have been convicted in a court of law for having nothing more than criminal malice on their minds when intending only to threaten, injure, kill or cause criminal damage.

Interestingly enough, Mr Williamson's refusal to give up his seat as a local councillor, while also serving as an MP, confirms a Labour trait of an almost obsessive conviction to be able to continue to exercise power over others.

Therefore is Councillor Paul Bayliss the current Labour leader of the city Labour Party or merely Chris Williamson's puppet?

Mr Williamson's continues to rave over the current Derby City administration and the Government's proposed cuts.

Doesn't he realise both have to deal with Labour's massive overspend which has driven this country to near bankruptcy?

Simply, if the money is not there it is not there.

The sad fact is that with any person showing such obvious traits of extremist and obsessive behaviour they would not even qualify as a fit person to hold a shotgun or firearm certificate.

But do we want him to stop?

No we don't, just keep proving the "loony left" is alive and well.
