Witnesses sought to road accident which left two injured today
Witnesses are needed to a road accident at 6.40am today.
It happened on the B5030, near the lakes at Rocester and involved a blue HGV and a green Volkswagen Golf.
The driver of the Golf, a 48-year-old man from Newcastle, suffered facial injuries needed hospital treatment.
His passenger, a 32-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be cut free by the fire service.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road was blocked until around 10am while recovery took place.
PC Stuart Moon, investigating officer, said: “We are keen to speak to a male cyclist and the male driver of a pale blue Fiat Punto who both stopped at the scene to help but left before officers could speak to them.
“I’d ask that these men, or anyone else who witnessed the collision, contact me as they may have information that can help.”
Witnesses are asked to contact PC Stuart Moon at Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 66 of December 4.
