Woman in hospital after falling off roof following five-hour stand-off with police
A WOMAN is in hospital after falling from the roof of a house in Normanton following a five-hour stand-off with police.
The 30-year-old’s injuries are “not life-threatening” according to officers speaking at the scene, in Upper Dale Road this morning.

She climbed on to the roof of a row of terraced house at 12.30am and police negotiators spent more than five hours trying to talk her down.
She fell to the pavement at 5.30am and at this stage it is not known if she jumped or slipped, police have said.

Sergeant Matt Croome, from Pear Tree police station, said: “The female is being treated in hospital following the incident.
“Her injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.”
