Writer must not lecture women on behaviour
DAVID Culm offers extraordinary advice to Asian women in the UK ("Women, make a stand – walk beside your men", Opinions, January 14).
I wonder if he has similar advice to offer white British women settled abroad. Should they have "feelings of guilt" about the violent crimes committed by men against women in Britain? How should they conduct themselves in response?
He seems to think that if women walk behind their menfolk "it unsettles our own developed social values".
How developed are these values when men still take it upon themselves to lecture women on their behaviour, as he does in his letter?

“If anyone can make sense of this rant from Ms Hollingworth, please let the rest of us know. All I see is a woman who, for reasons known only by herself, cannot or will not take advice from a man.”
