Ripley youngsters turn trash to treasure

CHILDREN who attend a youth centre in Ripley have been recycling materials to make gifts.

The youngsters, of the Blend Youth Project, in Nottingham Road, took part in sewing classes with local artist Joelle Harris to make the items – which some later gave away as Christmas presents.

At previous sessions, they learnt how to make their own clothes out of recycled materials.
