Two arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after Middleton and Wirksworth house warrants
POLICE have arrested two people after warrants at houses in Middleton and Wirksworth led to the discovery of suspected cannabis plants.
Officers searched a house in Hoptonwood Close, Middleton, on the morning of Wednesday, February 27 and found a number of suspected plants and cultivation kit.

A 37-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of producing a class B drug.
Both were interviewed and have since been released on police bail.

A second warrant was carried out at a property in Steeple Grange, Wirksworth later the same morning, where another suspected cannabis grow was found.
