After the bang of Bonfire Night comes Christmas
HAVING just endured the joyous celebrations of Bonfire Night – yes, it's Christmas. Large queues at the supermarket, everybody panic-buying icing sugar because the shops are shut for one day. Commercialism, capitalism at its height. Adverts for children's toys before the watershed. Sitting in a room with somebody who you have not seen for a year who you don't even like. Over-indulging on food you don't even want to eat. Merry Christmas!
