Hockey: Six of the best and six of worst for Rolls-Royce
ROLLS-ROYCE stay top of East Midlands Division Two despite suffering a defensive horror show against second-placed Leicester University.
Royce's leading scorer Jeff Longden netted four times in a hectic opening half and a fifth from Jake Tyler put them 5-3 up at the break.
Sam Ross added Royces' sixth following the restart but the visitors kept up the pressure and were rewarded with two goals in quick succession.
An equaliser came with five minutes remaining.
Rolls-Royce Ladies' first team were frustrated in their search for points against Belper thirds, going down 1-0 to their Derbyshire rivals.
The second team suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Matlock fifths.
Lucy Brown scored both goals for Royces, who will be looking for an improvement this weekend.
