TOP performing pupils at Landau Forte College were part of a successful year at the Derby school.

Christopher Langley, 16, is hoping his good grades will allow him to pursue a career in the field of pathology.

The 16-year-old has already carried out work experience on an archaeology site and with all A* to C grades in his GCSEs is now planning to study maths, chemistry and information computer technology at A-level.

He said: "I really enjoyed the work experience and pathology is definitely something I'm looking into doing as a career."

Another high achiever at the college was Tarandeep Hayre, who scored eight A* grades, two As and one B.

She is now going on to study history, maths, further maths and chemistry at A-level.

She puts her success down to hard work and consistent revision.

She said: "I wanted to do well and have just worked at it through the course."

The bumper year began last week when Landau Forte College scored its best-ever A-level results.
