All we had to do was name the big day!
WHEN Daniel Tissington ties the knot in Tissington he will be surrounded by a congregation of fellow Tissingtons – and will have the precious moment captured on film by another.
The 25-year-old even made a 70-mile trip to propose to Suzanne Bright in the grounds of Tissington Church.
Once the date was set, the couple scoured the internet for a photographer – and one name caught their eye...
And on Sunday, Derby snapper Nigel Tissington will be there to capture the happy day on camera with around 10 members of Daniel's family, who all carry the same surname, witnessing the ceremony.
Daniel, a soldier in the 42 Royal Engineers Regiment based in Lincolnshire, said: "I have known about the village since I was young, as my uncle is a bit of a historian and used to tell us there was a village with the same name as our surname.
"I decided to take Suzanne there on a detour during a drive to see my parents and while we were in the church I dropped to one knee and proposed.
"Thankfully she said 'Yes'."
Since their engagement in June last year, the couple have been attending St Mary's Church, where the ceremony is due to take place, and have booked Tissington Hall as the venue for their reception.
Suzanne, 25, said she could not believe it when Daniel proposed in the village.
She said: "We have been together for around four years and when he proposed in the church I couldn't believe it.
"It's a beautiful village, really picturesque and the people are really friendly.
"I can't wait to get married there."
Enlisting Derby photographer Nigel Tissington was a spot of luck, according to Suzanne, who found the 55-year-old via the internet.
She said: "I typed the words 'Tissington' and 'photographer' and up came Nigel's name.
"It must have been fate, it just seemed so perfect, so we rang him up and fortunately he was free that day."
Nigel Tissington, who has been a photographer for more than 30 years and operates out of his studio in Darley Mill, said he jumped at the chance to take on the job when he heard the background.
He said: "I just thought that it's got to be fate, that – a couple called Tissington, getting married in Tissington... having photographs taken by someone called Tissington was too good a chance to take up.
"I'm sure it will be a great day for them."
The couple, who have recently moved from Berkshire to a new home in Lincolnshire, where Daniel is stationed, will get a guard of honour from members of his battalion as they enter the church.
