Fire crews called to three incidents

FIREFIGHTERS had to deal with a number of incidents across the county yesterday.

Crews from Ascot Drive asked the police to attend after they had to put out a burning fence in Shakespeare Street, Sinfin at around 2.30pm.

Police were also asked to attend a car fire in Nottingham Road, Somercotes at around 10.40pm.

Crews from Alfreton tackled the blaze for around 20 minutes.

And a crew from Belper were called to a road accident involving two cars at around 11.30pm.

One of the cars had left the road and collided with a wall in Far Laund.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the incident.
