Elvaston pick up valuable points from Dunstall draw
Batting first in a match reduced to 30 overs per side due to rain, Elvaston recorded a useful total of 187-8.
Simon Lillie finished unbeaten on 46, while Rich Johnson made 44. James Grice took 5-60 for the visitors.
After the break, Dunstall fell just short at 174-5.
There were contributions from Matt Gouldstone (40*), Paul Shaw (38), James Benstead (37) and Craig Jennings (30), while James Baker claimed three wickets.
Fourth-placed Lullington Park had to settle for a losing draw as they entertained Chesterfield.
The match was reduced to 41 overs each due to bad weather, with the visitors posting 217-8 from their allocation.
Peter Camm made an unbeaten 59, captain Alex Hibbert hit 55 and Alan Gofton chipped in with 31.
After tea, Andrew Goodwin (73) and Ahmed Amla (52) gave Park hope of victory.
However, helped by Ross Whiteley (3-41) and Simon Lacey (3-33), Chesterfield restricted them to 185-8 at the close.
An intriguing match between Ticknall and Alfreton was ruined by the weather.
Alfreton had made 226-5 from their innings of 36 overs at The Grange.
Derbyshire opener Steve Stubbings was the star of the show, hitting 123 off only 82 deliveries – featuring 17 fours and two sixes.
Graham Chamberlain was the pick of the Ticknall bowlers with figures of 4-62.
Ticknall's reply got off to a flying start, with big-hitting Tanvir Ahmed smashing 79 off only 30 balls.
His quickfire innings included seven sixes and seven fours.
The hosts reached 106-2 in only nine overs before rain forced the game to be abandoned.
Leaders Ockbrook & Borrowash had their match at Quarndon called off without a ball being bowled.
Elsewhere, Sandiacre Town had reached 33-0 from five overs when their clash at Alvaston & Boulton was washed out.
