Since when did God say homosexuality is okay?
THE Rev Andy Trenier, writes that "Christians must avoid a persecution complex as society diversifies" (January 17). So does he think the same of those who are also opposed to homosexuality?
May I remind him that, for generations, congregations who attended church services were preached at from the pulpit that sodomy was an immoral sin, unnatural, unclean, an abomination in the eyes of God?
Does he now say, that because that view is still ingrained in people like me, it is we who are to be pitied for not conforming to the Church of England's politically correct views?
So I ask him, where and when did God change his mind and say that sodomy is no longer a sin and it's okay to turn a blind eye to it within the church?

And now the church is to be allowed to perform gay marriages and gay priests can become archbishops as long as they don't have sex.
While the C of E has fiddled with its PC navel, traditionalists have left, because they feel the church no longer serves them.
Nearly 30 years after the first outbreak of Aids, a Health Protection Agency report in late 2011 on unprotected anal sex said: "HIV continues to be one of the most important communicable diseases."
So Rev Trenier, are we the ones to be pitied for observing the will of God? I think not. I still believe in God, it's just the C of E I've lost faith in.
