    “Evening all...

I have to agree with that statement,i would also take it a step further, and have a thirty year prohibition on all beer, wine and spirit sales. That would allow England in the future to have for the first time in its history a Sober Generation..That does include alcohol used for religious purposes as well, after all have you seen a church goer with out a red nose..But would excuse alcohol used for medicinal purposes i.e pain relief as prescribed by a physician as a alternate holistic medicine as opposed to the standard, more damaging and addictive morphine..

“Janine, why don't we just concentrate on dealing with those who drink on the streets and leave everyone else to go about their lives as they wish in their own time?
That said, the licensing laws in Scotland for instance restrict off-sales to similar times as pub opening times.
That still doesn't stop drunks stocking up on alcohol to see them throught the next available buying oppotunity though.”

“Smokers have seen curbs on where they can smoke and now they are talking about further bans, smokers don,t cause the A and E to be inundated with casualties on the weekends with threats of violence to the staff, yet there are still no restrictions on drinkers, personally I feel that the only place you should be able to obtain drink is from a public house, that would leave the responsible drinkers to enjoy the old fashioned pub atmosphere, and also give the A and E staff some respite from the usual threat of violence, which to my mind is totally unacceptable.”
