In it together? As those who don't have a home
WE are all in it together, so we were told by you know who. I am sure there are many homeless people who would love to be in it together, given the same chance as the following:
William and Kate, gifted a 10-bedroom mansion by the Queen on the Sandringham Estate. How many homeless or, come to that, any ordinary young couples would like a gift like that from their grandmother?
Then there's the old Battersea Power Station, where homeless people used to doss before being cleared off. Within two years this will be the new des res of London. Rich buyers have snapped up £600 million worth of the properties in four days – and not a brick laid yet. The highest price paid is for a penthouse, at £6 million.
Who's got that sort of money? Not the folks struggling to pay for their heating and food and certainly not the homeless.

So let's all shout it together, to see if it's true: "We're all in it together." Wow, the silence is deafening.

“True Dave, but people like Ken Moreton would only be happy if we wre all exactly the same, living in identical square boxes like in China, Russia, Albania and er...well absolutely nowhere which is in the free world.
So you have your choice, Ken. Live in a country with free opportunity to make what you will of your life, or go to some communist state which will give you your little box and tell you what to do and what to believe.
Just don't stay here and moan about what you haven't got and what someone else has got.”

“Ken, I believe that where you are right now in life is entirely down to you, so it's up to YOU to do something about it if it's not where you want to be.”
