Man injured in parachute display stunt

A PARACHUTE jumper was taken to hospital after landing badly during a display at Duffield Carnival.

The male jumper was part of a display team coming in to land at the carnival, held in Eyres Meadow today, when he touched down awkwardly and injured his leg.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Derby City General Hospital.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said the man's injuries were not life threatening.
