School plans to end term with a flurry of activities

Saturday, July 04, 2009, 07:30

FUN activities and day trips will fill the last full week of lessons before the summer holidays at a Derby school.

Students will get the opportunity go angling, golfing and rock climbing, and study fashion design, art, music and history.

Every student at Merrill College will take part in a three-day programme of activities of their choice between July 14 and 16.

On their final day, house representatives will take part in a special It's A Knock Out-style competition.

Each programme includes a range of different challenges and activities designed to give students an opportunity to try a new hobby or develop their existing skills and interests.

There will also be day and overnight trips available, including trips to Dovedale and Paris.
