Toyota donates car to college team

Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 07:30

A CAR has been donated to Derby College's motor vehicle department by Toyota Manufacturing UK.

The car will be used to support the current level two programmes and is the final equipment requirement for the college to go ahead with plans to introduce an advanced level three motor vehicle course in September 2010.

Matthew Curtis, motor vehicle team leader, said: "We are very grateful to Toyota for this donation.

"It is vital we have the latest vehicles to support the learners' diagnostic qualifications."

The Corolla ex-trial car will take pride of place at the department's workshops at the Roundhouse Johnson Building when it moves there from Mason's Place, Chaddesden, next year.

key role: Julie Langley, of Toyota, hands over the car to Matthew Curtis.
