A DERBY secondary wants to change its status from a community to foundation school.

The proposal by da Vinci Community College is the first stage in it becoming a National Trust school.

Establishing a trust with Derby College, Serco Learning and the city council...

Notes: Woodlands School is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school situated in Allestree, which is the north-western suburb of the city of Derby. Nearly all students come from the immediate neighbourhood with some coming from the inner city itself. Most students are of white British heritage, with a small number of other students coming from a range of ethnic backgrounds. In September 2004 the school was enhanced by the award of specialist technology college status.

The school’s motto is ‘Proud to Achieve’ and we celebrate everyone’s success. We are never complacent.
