National Gardens Scheme Open Day at Calke Abbey

The extensive late 18th century walled gardens feature a flower garden with summer bedding and famous auricula theatre, as well as an impressive collection of glasshouses and garden buildings. Growing in the vegetable garden are heirloom varieties of fruit and vegetables, on sale to visitors.
There will be an opportunity to meet the head gardener and take a tour of the garden with him.
