ANDRE Messager's sparkling Gallic operetta concerns Helene, a noblewoman, who disguises herself as a worker in a florist's shop, to teach her prospective fiance a lesson. Giles Havergal and Wyn Davies lead a strong cast including Buxton favourites Helen Williams, Yvonne Howard, Donald Maxwell and Mark Stone, with Victoria Joyce making her festival debut in the title role. 2 HENRO 2009 EXHIBITION Sudbury Hall and Museum of Childhood

ON display from today are Takumasa Ono's artworks based on sketches made at National Trust properties. The artworks include silkscreen prints, sketches and sumie, the traditional Japanese black and white ink painting. The exhibition runs until August 9 and the hall is open Wednesdays to Sundays, 1pm to 5pm. More details on 01283 585305.
