After the success of helping students into the theatre and filming industry, ARK Theatre decided to use their expertise in helping younger children to learn about acting, directing, playwriting and technical elements of the theatre.

In our theatre classes, children learn about all aspects of theatre through exercises, games, activities and rehearsals. Children can decide to keep learning about each part of theatre or what aspects of the theatre they enjoy and excel at the most, and concentrate on this discipline if they wish to.

Our classes are different to any others because the children, as a group, will write, produce, direct and act in their very own play. We believe that this is very important in building friendships and team building skills, as well as generating confidence in each child's creativity to develop the next generation of theatre and film talent for the industry. We also regularly invite professionals in the industry to run extra workshops which each child can attend.

Classes run every Tuesday evening at Stretton Village Hall, Alfreton, 5pm-6pm (for ages 6-11) and 6pm-7pm (for ages 11-16).

Your child's first class is completely FREE. And classes after this are charged at £4 per child and classes run at an hour long.

All our teachers and teaching assistants are professionals and qualified in the theatre or film industry, and are fully CRB checked.

For any more information on our classes or to book your place in the class please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@arktheatrecompany.co.uk or phone 07532 014318.
