East Midlands Counties: Vics aims to keep up good run
A 3-1 win at Ibstock last Saturday meant the Vics are without defeat in five games but face a Gedling side who sit third in the table.
Manager Mark Wilson said: "We're slowly gathering momentum in the league.
"We should know where we stand more after Christmas because, by then, we will have played everyone in the top half of the table.
"It's very close this season.
"We're a far grittier side than we were last season and will look to extend our unbeaten run."
Lee Fell, who joins Vics on a month's loan from Mickleover Sports, will go straight into the squad for the trip to Nottingham.
Holbrook MW will be looking to avenge a 4-0 defeat by Hinckley Downes earlier in the season when the two sides meet again at Shaw Lane tomorrow.
The Brookies will be without Marc Finlay and Simon Lillie but Karl Demidh and Adam Lillie should return.
Paul Campbell has resumed training but won't be rushed back by manager Kev Bunting.
"Hinckley completely outplayed us in the first game and we will be hoping to reverse that result tomorrow," he said.
"We are slowly getting our squad back together after several injuries.
"This has meant that we've been unable to gain any consistency in selection and this has shown up in our performances."
League leaders Heanor Town welcome Bardon Hill Sports to the Town Ground, while Graham St Prims, who are without a win in 10 games, travel to fellow strugglers Blackwell MW.
Caretaker manager Jason Lane, who is hoping to get the job on a full-time basis, said: "The next three games, including tomorrow's fixture, are all winnable.
"But Blackwell are very good at home and it won't be an easy game."
Gresley boss Gary Norton has called on his players to follow up their fine midweek win over high-flying Bardon Hill when they host lowly Anstey Nomads.
"Tuesday's result means nothing unless we can follow it up with a win against Anstey and it's not a game we're taking lightly," he said.
