'More forced redundancies at Derby city council'
THE leader of Derby City Council believes there will be more compulsory redundancies in the next wave of job cuts at the authority.
Councillor Paul Bayliss told a public meeting that "a number of compulsory redundancies" were expected as the authority looked to shed 350 jobs in the next 16 months to save cash.
He added that he expected the number to be "more than last year", when the figure was 20.
Mr Bayliss said it was "not a pleasant statement to make".
