Three-goal blast settles it for Badgers
EASTWOOD Town took the game to Nantwich from the start but found themselves a goal down just before half-time.
Simon Sturdy lost the flight of the ball in the wind, presenting it to Adam Beasley, whose pass allowed Paul Naggington to shoot across Shane Redmond into the corner.
But the Badgers picked themselves up to control the second half, equalising after 54 minutes when Ross Gardner's sublime pass allowed Richard Dunning to beat Lee Jones in the Nantwich goal.
Andy Todd marked his second Eastwood debut with a goal only two minutes later.
Dunning's shot hit a defender and looked to be going for a corner until Todd gathered it, flicked it past a defender and drove in his shot.
The Badgers as good as settled the contest with a third after 59 minutes, from an excellent move started by Dunning near his own penalty area and involving Anton Foster and Todd before Holmes held off a defender to supply an emphatic finish.
